Posted: 30 Oct 2011 06:06 AM PDT

The Japanese supercar Nissan GT-R is currently the holder of one of his fastest laps of the Nurburgring circuit in Germany on the category, well-established point of reference with regard to the performance of the car. According to rumors, however, the model of the 2013 GT-R, which will be officially presented on November 7, should be able to tear this result (7 minutes and 24 seconds and 22 cemtesimi) even lowering the record (at least) 7-8 second. This would mean stopping the clock at 7:16, faster than the Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

According to some sources, in particular Pistonheads, the improvement could be as high as 10 seconds, putting the Nissan GT-R on the same level of the other Japanese supercar, the Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package, with a time of around 7 minutes and 14 seconds.

From what we learned the 2013 version of the sports car should have 550 hp (523 against the current MODEL). Despite the increased power and performance so much improved, however, the car should be able to offer reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to version 2012. Powerful, fast, efficient and clean: it seems a combination of all respect.

According to the source cited the new Nissan GT-R should be able to face any curve between 5 and 8 km / h faster than the current model, reaching a top speed in the final straight of 296 km / h. The presentation is scheduled for November 7, but at this point we are curious to see the track on the Ring!
