Chrises Cars - New Road Safety Advert Features Hot Girl In A Hot Lamborghini

A new road safety campaign advert has been launched in the Britain. This video features an attractive girl being driven around at high speeds in a Lamborghini and is meant to deter young drivers from speeding.

The advertisement utilizes a blacked-out 640hp, Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, some twisty country roads and a blonde girl showing a little too much cleavage to underline the point that you should never drive like you're in a supercar unless you can live with the consequences.

Thanks to the dubstep track during the video, it's pretty apparent that this new road safety advert is targeted at young drivers, and it's definitely worth a watch, for the safety message of course….

Does this new road safety advert discourage you from speeding or make you wanna buy a Lamborghini? Give us your thoughts below>

Ferrari Testarossa Tribute Video By Petrolicious

Chrises Cars - Ferrari Testarossa Tribute Video By Petrolicious

We have for you a pretty awesome Ferrari Testarossa Tribute Video By Petrolicious. Back in the 80s I had posters of this supercar all over my wall and its so good to see this awesome Ferrari again.

One thing we absolutely love about Petrolicious videos, apart from their brilliant cinematography, is the cars they pick to film. On this episode they feature a supercar that most of us have forgotten about: The Ferrari Testarossa.

We'd forgotten how beautiful it looks and how desirable it is. These days you can buy a Testarossa for as low as $50K. And you know what, we've already started saving!

Sadly, by the time we manage to put together 50 Gs the TR's value will have gone up. It is a future classic and someday very soon it will enter the six-figure club.

Watch the Ferrari Testarossa Tribute Video By Petrolicious below and give us your comments.

Steve McQueen 1951 Chevy Up For Auction

Chrises Cars - Steve McQueen 1951 Chevy Up For Auction

Steve McQueen 1951 Chevy Up For Auction – Steve McQueen’s yellow 1951 Chevrolet Styleline DeLuxe convertible coupe goes under the hammer in March 2013.

The Steve McQueen Midas touch has already transformed a Porsche 911 into a seven-figure car, pushed a film prop driving suit to an unimaginable price, and helped a Ford GT40 become the most expensive American car ever sold at auction. So what will it do for a '51 Chevrolet?

We get to find out the answer to that question next month when a yellow Styleline DeLuxe convertible coupe goes under the hammer at the Auctions America Fort Lauderdale sale. Unlike those other McQueen-related items, the Chevrolet had no connection with McQueen's 1971 film Le Mans, but it did play a role in another of the actor's films and did spend some time, however brief, in his collection.

Based on the life of Ralph "Papa" Thorson, The Hunter, released in 1980, ultimately became McQueen's last starring role in a film. He originally wanted to direct it as well, but ended up handing those duties over to Buzz Kulick.

Cast as almost the complete opposite of the suave, fast characters he normally played, McQueen tooled around in a plain-Jane 1951 Chevrolet for much of the movie; after filming wrapped in December 1979, McQueen found he had grown attached to the convertible, so he bought it.

He didn't get to enjoy it long, however: The cancer that kept him from directing The Hunter then led to his death in November 1980. Four years later, his estate sold the car – along with documentation verifying its time in McQueen's collection – at auction in Las Vegas.

According to the Chevrolet's auction description, the Steve McQueen 1951 Chevy was restored about 10 years ago and includes its original 92hp, 216.5-cu.in. Stovebolt six-cylinder engine, column-shifted three-speed transmission, a working power top, fender skirts, and a conversion to 12-volt electrics. It will cross the block with no reserve.

Auctions America's Fort Lauderdale sale will take place March 22-24 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. For more information, visit AuctionsAmerica.com.

Alfa 8C And Porsche 911 Hooning In The Snow

Chrises Cars - Alfa 8C And Porsche 911 Hooning In The Snow

Check out this video showing the beautiful Alfa 8C and Porsche 911 playing in the snow.

Winter is a time of hibernation, not just for bears, but supercars as well. Or is it? Well, it depends on the owners of the super car. They can lock them away, or they can bring them out for some proper winter fun, like these cool Boston boys who hit the snow with an Alfa Romeo 8C and a Porsche 911.

The fact that they took an 8C out in this condition is pretty impressive, because this baby is a rare and expensive Italian super car, and unlike its Porsche 4S company, it is rear wheel drive. Many things can go wrong in situations like this, but that’s part of the fun, isn’t it!

Would you take your Alfa 8C or Porsche 911 for a bit of fun in the Snow?

Rare Two Seater Mustang To Appear At Amelia Island

Chrises Cars - Rare Two Seater Mustang To Appear At Amelia Island

Due to the success of the Mustang during the 1960s Ford tried out a few two seater Mustang designs over the years, one of which has survived and will appear at next month's Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.

According to owner Bill Snyder, Ford itself built this experimental two seater Mustang from a pre-production chassis shortened 16 inches and stuffed with a 260-cu.in. V-8 bored and stroked to 302 cubic inches.

Designer Bill Vince Gardner came up with the fastback profile to fit the shortened wheelbase, which Dearborn Steel Tubing – the same company responsible for the Ford Thunderbolt – rendered in fiberglass with a prominent fuel filler above its small ducktail spoiler.

Snyder said the Mustang then traveled the country with Ford, which is how Snyder first encountered it, but Gardner apparently felt too strongly attached to the car to let Ford crush it afterward, so he stole it and walled it up in a warehouse in Inkster, Michigan.

As the story goes, Gardner then didn't pay any rent to the warehouse owner and Ford already filed the stolen car claim and collected the settlement from the insurance company, so the Mustang ended up in the hands of the latter six months after Gardner hid it away. Snyder eventually bought it from an executive with that insurance company, fulfilling a nearly 50-year dream to own this particular car after seeing it advertised in a 1968 issue of Hemmings Motor News.

According to Gary Witzenburg's Mustang: The Complete History of America's Pioneer Ponycar, shortened two-seaters almost perennially appeared in the course of Mustang history even though Lee Iacocca and his product planners had settled on a four-seat configuration almost from the beginning. One of the earliest such Mustang-based two-seater concepts came about in 1964 when designers toyed with different implementations of the fastback body style while a more radical fastback appeared in October 1966 as a proposal for the 1969 model year refresh.

"We went through a period where we were chopping about six inches off the back," Gail Halderman, the Mustang's design chief at the time, told Witzenburg. "But then we went to two inches and finally back to where we had started because we still had to package a spare tire, fuel tank, and some luggage room back there." None of these other shortened two-seater Mustang design studies appear to have progressed beyond the clay model stage.

This two seater Mustang will appear at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance on March 8-10 at the Ritz-Carlton in Amelia Island, Florida.
