Check out the new Volkswagen laughing commercial for the 2013 Jetta TDI which plays on having an annoying passenger.

Volkswagen media people are on fire these days, making one good commercial after the other. We just watched and admired the Beetle's Mask commercial, now let's check out this new one called Laugh for the Jetta TDI. The fact this ad boasts, again in a fun way, is the car's incredible range of 609 miles per tank. If you get one of these, be sure to pick your passengers wisely!

Chrises Cars - Gullwing America 300 SLC Pictures And Details

GWA is a company specializing in turning Mercedes Benz cars into retro-looking hot rods and this is their latest project the Gullwing America 300 SLC.

The Gullwing America 300 SLC is based on a 2012 Mercedes benz SLS Roadster AMG and has been re-modeled to look like a classic 1955 Mercedes 300 SC W188.

This one-off model, built for an Eastern European customer, features a bespoke handmade aluminum body, and custom-made wheels. The running gear and interior are pretty much stock SLS.

It has been a challenge, of course, to fit the SLS with the new outfit. For instance, they had to change the position of the pop-up rear spoiler, and do a lot of structural work to make those wheels fit and that headlights work. The end result though is a pretty exquisite thing. The SLC features the standard fabric rood, plus a new removable hard top.

The wheels are GWA Evolution models, size 22 x 12 rear and 21 x 9.5 front, wrapped with Continental tires. GWA also provides the car with a special exhaust system and height adjustable suspension.

No word on the pricing, but rest assured such a treatment is hugely expensive; something in the neighborhood of half a million dollars, we reckon.

The new Jaguar F-Type sports car is still in the development phase but it didn’t stop them taken Evo's Harry Metcalfe for spin on the mountain roads in Wales.

Here's Evo's Harry Metcalfe's account of the F-Type experience. He rides in both the V6S and V8S models, and finds them very similar apart from the exhaust noise, which is more visceral and angry in the V8, but more classic in the V6.

British motoring journalist Chris Harris goes ice driving in Sweden in a classic Porsche 911.

Chris Harris is absolutely obsessed with old Porsche 911s. The only thing he likes more than 911s is powersliding. So you can imagine how happy he was when Below Zero Ice Driving told him he can come down to Sweden and spend a day going sideways on a frozen lake in a selection of classic 911 rally cars.

The guys from Motor trend have released this video putting the Aston Martin DB9 and Mercedes CL65 AMG through a series of tests to see which is the better sports car.

The Mercedes CL-Class is on its last legs and will be replaced soon with a new S-Class Coupe while the new Aston Martin DB9 is hot out of the oven.

The DB9 is like a fine cocktail with two parts DBS, two parts Virage, and a sprinkling of Vanquish on the top. On this episode of Head 2 Head MotoTrend's Jonny Lieberman puts these great super coupes up against each other to see which $200K V12-powered two-door luxury car is superior.

Both these cars are powered by 6.0 liter V12 engines, and although the Merc is much more powerful, the performance is basically the same with a 0 to 60 time of around 4.1 seconds for both cars. What sets them apart is the nature of delivery and their approach to luxury.
