Hey, what’s going on guys? It was inevitable that Triumph would treat one of their best selling naked bikes to a Speed Triple-style overhaul to its 675cc streetfighter.
The Street Triple will gain its bigger sibling's modernized (or none circular, if you will) headlights, and a higher-quality level of finish throughout, despite prices being pegged at or near current levels. The new bikes also get a de-chromed look, chunkier aluminum bars (previously just on the Street Triple R model).
The new colors adds to the perceived level of quality too. But I don’t know about this grape flavor. Without tweaks to the engine, the 167kg/105bhp Street Triple will remain the lightest in its class and among the most powerful. Mechanically there are no changes so existing owners will have an easy time of telling themselves their bike is in no way rendered obsolete overnight.
Color options are metallic white, black and purple for the standard model, while the higher-spec R is coming in red, white or black with gold wheels.
