DTM: Audi starts off strong in Zandvoort Posted: 13 May 2011 10:13 AM PDT With a 1-2-3-4 during this afternoons first test session, the Audi A4 is looking impressive again. Timo Scheider topped the chart with a 1:32.708. Martin Tomczyk reeled up in second with a 1:33.182 putting him 0.474 in the rears. Mattias Ekstrom (1:33.298) and Edoardo Mortara (1:33.409) would take third and fourth place respectively. Mortara is showing great skill moving from Formula 3 open-wheel action to the closed Audi A4 DTM car. Mercedes would clean up 5-9th with last weeks 2nd place podium winner, Ralf Schumacher in 17th. Oliver Jarvis locked up 10th spot to give Audi 5 cars in the top ten. He was 01.208 down. Related posts: |
WTCC: SUNRED hopes to have new engine ready for Hungary Posted: 13 May 2011 08:56 AM PDT SUNRED Engineering’s new 1.6-litre turbo engine is due to be used for the first time in the next WTCC event at Budapest. The engine, designed and developed by the Spanish factory in cooperation with the Lehmann Motorentechnik AG, is currently undergoing an extensive program of bench tests. “The first results of the tests are very good in terms of both, power and reliability and our plan is to test it for the first time in the car next week,” unveiled SUNRED’s principal Joan Orus. “In the meantime we are working to accomplish all the homologation formalities. Should everything is properly accomplished, we hope to start using the engine from the next event in Hungary.” - WTCC Related posts: |
