Hey, what’s going on guys? Earlier this month, we showed you a video on Triumph’s 500,000th bike. But the video was only a teaser. Check it out here if you missed it.
Jon’s guess was correct, and the mystery bike was indeed a rather tacky colored Triumph Speed Triple. But yes, the 500,000th bike produced since real estate tycoon John Bloor revived the company in 1990 is indeed a Speed Triple painted in red, white and blue.
The strange paint design you see is a new manufacturing process used to create the crinkle effect. The special Speed Triple also wears a 500,000 icon on its tank to further distinguish itself.
Comedian Ross Noble will be taking it touring around England, Scotland and Wales to mark the milestone. Interesting. I wonder why they chose a comedian?
