Bentley Continental GT V8 Detroit 2012 Posted: 03 Aug 2011 02:44 PM PDT The Detroit Motor Show 2012 will see the debut of the new Bentley Continental GT with turbo V8 engine. The car to have the honor to present to the world the new engine, which will be used on various models of the S and RS brand, will be the version that S6 will debut at the IAA 2011. It will only be in January, however, that the manufacturer will introduce its new V8 engine that will be more economical, efficient and clean compared to the W12 is currently being used. A curiosity: Bentley’s engineers have worked on the drains to give the car a roar worthy of its reputation. The engine that will debut in Detroit is the 4.0 V8 that will allow the brand to produce CO2 emissions smaller than 6.0 W12 so dear to the owners of Bentley Continental. By the manufacturer, however, are keen to raise awareness that the monstrous 12-cylinder engine will not regret. According to rumors, also the lightness and small size compared to the monstrous V8 W12 will give the car a sporty touch, which inevitably lacked the mammoth vehicle to which we are accustomed. With the new turbo engine will be capable of delivering more power than the current 12-cylinder engine that produces 575 hp. If you love the Bentley Continental GT (and the Bentley Continental GTC, the convertible version to be presented in the next few weeks) so you’ll be happy to know that from 2012 you can drive your luxury car favorite aware of being a bit ‘more environmentally environment. So much for the traditional (and rare) W12 engine. |
