Motorcycle Racetrack Drift Insanity Posted: 02 Mar 2012 09:00 PM PST |
Hey what’s going on guys? What happens when you combine a Graves WORKS Project / 2012 Yamaha R1 / purpose-built stunt bike, a three-time XDL stunt champion, fast cars, hot girls, a helicopter, an awesome race track and film the entire event through Tyler Kirk Films? Pure drift insanity and the most advanced drift bike ever built.
Graves Yamaha champion stunt rider Bill Dixon and Graves Motorsports teamed up for the epic undertaking of creating a purpose-built stunt bike designed to showcase Bill Dixon’s stunt capabilities. When they tested the bike at Willow Springs Raceway, it blew away everyone’s expectations.
Watch for Dixon’s favorite shot of the video; him passing the Nissan GTR mid-corner in a high speed drift with the helicopter hovering on the outside of the turn. “Bill had so much fun drifting the Graves Yamaha, I was jealous,” said Chuck Graves of Graves Motorsports, “Projects like this are the driving force at Graves. ‘Create without limits’, ‘Strive for 11/10ths’, ‘Give maximum effort’ and ‘Just a bit more’ are the maxims we live by at Graves. I can’t wait for the next project!”
Many on the Internet have already claimed that ICON’s video was done better. What do you guys think?
