Posted: 17 Jul 2012 07:28 PM PDT British Autocar website were released new photos and new rumors about the next variant of the Mini Countryman, which reveal BMW’s projects for the expansion of the third generation of the Mini in addition to seven models existing today. In anticipation there would be a new family MPV codenamed Spacebox within the company. This move would allow the Countryman SUV that’s become more familiar, like auto MPV sister of second-generation BMW X 1. According to some rumors the current Countryman could be replaced by two new models, since the current Countryman is just a cross between an SUV and a minivan. It seems, therefore, that the next generation of Countryman may be much more similar to the X 1, which will be 15 cm longer than the Mini. The new Spacebox should instead be a family car more practical rather than simply a variation of the classic Mini’s largest sedan. With the new generation should see even the Clubman become a sports sedan, the rear doors that open to the closet. ? MINI COUPÉ Towards the end of this year will begin to be produced the BMW and Mini based on new front-wheel drive platform. Will have two configurations of different steps, two different track widths and different heights for the seats also four-wheel drive will be optional. The first model to use the new platform will be the new Mini, followed by the next BMW series 1 front wheel. These spy pictures confirm us roadways broadened and slightly longer than the Countryman today. |
