| Lamborghini Aventador laps Laguna Seca Posted: 08 Aug 2012 05:04 PM PDT Within the past 9 months, Justice Reed has tracked over 4000 miles in his 2012 Lamborghini Aventador at tracks which include; Laguna Seca, Infineon and Thunderhill Raceway. Justice is a very low key car collector but more of a driver! He invited eGarage to spend a typical morning with him on the track and we witnessed just how serious he is about tracking and driving his newest Aventador. Building on the award-winning R8 V8 and R8 V10 Coupes, the Exclusive Selection Editions will arrive in limited volume later this month. Only twenty 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V8 vehicles and thirty 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V10 vehicles will be produced. The 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V8 commands immediate attention with new exterior colors and stunning exclusive interior finishes. For the first time, Audi debuts a Daytona Gray matte exterior for the 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V8, complete with carbon fiber exterior splitter and diffuser, 19” titanium five-arm double spoke wheels, black grille surround, black exhaust finishers, R8 GT tail lamps, and red brake calipers. Inside, the R8 V8 features an exclusive leather package with Crimson Red elements and contrast stitching, exclusive leather Navigation surround, and a thicker contoured leather multifunctional steering wheel for a sportier grip. The 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition R8 V8 is equipped with a 4.2-liter FSI® V8 which generates 430 hp at 7,900 rpm, with 316 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 – 6,000 rpm. | Audi rated Highest Premium Brand in Autopacific and Autobytel Owner Survey Posted: 08 Aug 2012 04:55 AM PDT Audi was named the Highest Premium Brand for the Autobytel and AutoPacific 2012 Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA). Based on a survey of over 75,000 new car and light truck owners, the IVAs recognize the cars that meet their owner’s expectations and desires about their automotive purchases. Contributing to this standing was a sweep of the Aspirational Luxury Car category by the Audi A4, Audi A5 and Audi A6. The Audi Q5 and Q7 also had strong showings in their crossover SUV categories. All vehicles included in the survey represented the Audi 2012 model year. Based on the largest single-model-year survey of automotive owners, the IVAs are designed to help consumers make informed vehicle purchase decisions with a true “peer-to-peer” survey. The IVAs recognize vehicles where owners wanted the least amount of change across 15 key vehicle attributes, including: exterior styling, exterior size, passenger spaciousness, cargo space, driver’s seat comfort, driver’s seat visibility, info/entertainment technology, interior lighting, power and acceleration, ease of getting in and out, interior storage compartments, ride, handling, safety features and tires and wheels. Making a clean sweep of the Aspirational Luxury Car category, the Audi A4, Audi A5, and Audi A6 took top honors. In addition to being awarded top-rated premium mid-size car in the Autobytel and AutoPacific 2012 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards, the Passat was also recognized as the Most Ideal Premium Mid-Size Car for 2012 as part of AutoPacific’s New Vehicle Satisfaction Survey. Additionally, owner respondents voted the Golf hatch as the Most Ideal Compact Car. The Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA) are unique from other automotive awards given each year in that they are based on owner input to a survey that measures any changes that the owners would make to their new vehicle. Questions are based on 15 key vehicle attributes such as exterior styling, passenger roominess, and cargo space.
