Dallas Motorcycle Crash Video Analysis

Posted: 17 May 2011 10:00 PM PDT

Aye y'all what's good? Studdly here bringing you a disturbing video about 25 year old Zack Perez who rides his motorcycle home from work only to be near sandwiched on the way. This happened in Dallas, Texas and what looks like to be in smooth slowing traffic. The Iraqi Veteran came out alive and managed to suffer only a few broken ribs, some torn muscles and a hernia. Damn! Check the out the video and see what you think.

It's fortunate that Mr. Perez was able to come out of that experience alive, but it's unfortunate that an experience like that is keeping him from riding again. Although he did what he felt was right, which was stop because the car in front was stopping, he failed to remember that he was on a motorcycle. He failed to use an invasive maneuver in which it is a motorcycle's gift in executing; splitting away from danger! If he would have kept in mind that cars are behind him and stayed in tuned to his mirror (checking his 6 to be exact), then he would have had some clue that the morons behind him probably were not keen on paying attention like he was. He would have been better off instinctively crossing in between the passing cars into a lane split and moving safely into another lane. If you look closely at the video, a white SUV was able to use this same maneuver after the crash happened right in front of it.

This teaches us a lesson about the capabilities of the beast between our legs, and that motorcycles do have their strengths when it involves riding on a daily basis. Motorcycles are more than just a small ride; it's a small ride that can take you away from danger when used properly at a drop of a dime.
