Top Porsche 911 GT3 RSR qualifies third at Mosport Posted: 23 Jul 2011 02:24 PM PDT Once again we saw the “power” of the BMW’s shine in today’s ALMS qualifying from Mosport. Flying Lizard’s Joerg Bergmeister headed out onto clean track and was picking off seconds left and right. However, his fastest was just shy of front row and top spot by 0.229 seconds.
The Falken Tire 911 GT3 RSR starts seventh after Wolf Henzler put in a lap of 1:17.964 at 113mph. Bryce Miller put the Paul Miller Racing 911 GT3 RSR eleventh on grid with a 1:20.377. Seth Neiman and Marco Holzer will start 13th in the no44 Flying Lizard Motorsport Porsche. Mosport is a fast 2.459 mile lap and very hard to pass on. Tomorrow should be another epic GT battle. In GTC, another battle will ensue. This class has been great all year and today we saw the top 2 separated by .078. Damien Faulkner over Atlanta’s Spencer Pumpelly. HBTV: Depth of Speed – Simple Soul Posted: 23 Jul 2011 10:51 AM PDT Another excellent piece from Josh Clason and Depth of Speed. The video is treated in a way, very reminiscent of old VW commercials. Josh meets up with Craig Johnson and his “resto” ‘vert T1. Craig also owns a mint Red/Black Samba that has some great rolling shots. The relationship of car and owner once again comes to the forefront of this episode of Depth of Speed with Josh Clason. Craig Johnson represents a long list of devout Volkswagen fanatics who have carried on the legacy of several iconic products from the German carmaker. Known as “the people’s car,” Johnson’s relationship with the VW T1 is highlighted as we’re treated to another cinematic gem. Related posts: |
