Allan McNish signs on with Simraceway Posted: 14 Mar 2012 12:55 PM PDT With the 12 Hours of Sebring right around the corner, we have awesome news coming out of the SimRaceway camp! Audi Motorsport’s Allan McNish, has signed on with one of the top sim-racing games to hit the broadband pipes, SimRaceway. The 24 Hour of Le Mans winner is the third professional driver to sign on with SimRaceway. McNish joins Dario Franchitti and the late Dan Wheldon (1978 – 2011), ensuring that SimRaceway will become the best online racing experience. McNish will assist in the development of the game’s authenticity as well as vehicle physics. He will also be training the next generation of real-world drivers at its racing facility, the Simraceway Performance Driving Center.
In 2010, McNish joined the Jim Russell Future Driver Search to discover the world’s finest young racers. Now in 2012 the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School has become the Simraceway Performance Driving Center where Allan will spend time with the young drivers.
There can't be a better-placed driver in the world than McNish to nail the realism of cars like the one he'll be driving at Sebring on Saturday, the awesome R18 TDI, and that's something he got straight to work on upon joining up.
