Volkswagen Bora 2013 to be launched in China Posted: 24 Nov 2012 05:45 AM PST Chrises Cars - Volkswagen Bora 2013 to be launched in China
Volkswagen has launched its latest model the new VW Bora 2013 in China. It is based on the PQ34 platform of the group. China has seen the hot selling of the Bora model. The model has the chrome inserts and angular headlights just like the U.S spec Jetta. The Volkswagen has always given China its top priority. Hence they have decided to bring out this model in this country. The new model has loads of technological developments. It is powered by a 1.4 liter engine which runs on Gasoline. It is able to produce 122 horse powers. It is also given a new BlueMotion technology. This gives the car excellent starting and braking ability. It has a manual gearbox with Six-speed advancements. It is also given a clutch transmission by DSG. The car is going to be launched in the Auto festival of Guangzhou. This car along with its enhanced feature will give an extreme competition to other such cars in the market. The interesting fact is that, the market of china is such that, owing to the large population of the market, this car will have to compete not only with other rivals, but also with its previous models. China is a tough market structure. The car has been a completely European design in the interiors. It has been given wooden features which are in great demand, especially in the market of Asia. This car hence shows style with that of the cars generally produced in America. The car has special navigation system, climate controlling system and a great audio system, which makes it simply perfect to ride. The controls of the car give it a smooth riding system. Thus, with these upgrades, it is sure that this car will be top in the lists in the market in china for quite a lot of time. BaT Exclusive: Show-Winning Restored 1972 BMW 2002tii Posted: 24 Nov 2012 05:33 AM PST Chrises Cars - BaT Exclusive: Show-Winning Restored 1972 BMW 2002tii This 1972 BMW 2002tii (chassis 2761671) is offered by the third owner who purchased it seventeen years ago from the local BMW CCA chapter secretary. The car was originally sold in Fresno, California and has remained in the state all of its life, thus it retains original blue license plates. The seller restored the car to stock specification in 1999, doing everything himself except for the body and paint work. The car won best in class at the 2011 Palo Alto Concours and was just featured in a 4-page article in the October 2012 issue of Bimmer Magazine where the editor called the car “as perfect as an ’02 can be.” It is now available in Visalia, California for $35k.
The seller bought his first BMW in 1975, a used 1602, and before restoring this car he restored a CS coupe and a 600, both to stock specification. He wanted to restore this car in time for the year 2002 when there were many celebrations of the model, which is exactly what he did. The car was taken to the 2002 BMW CCA Oktoberfest event in Colorodo where it won the Harmon Fisher Most Original 2002 award. The car features Chamonix White exterior paint and the belt-line trim was sourced as NOS from BMW. The wheels are Petrini alloys. The blue interior features the original vinyl seat covers and a stock steering wheel. The correct tii-only clock resides in the dash as well, and the A/C console has been retained even though the under-hood dealer installed system was removed. the odometer shows 99,xxx miles, but the seller believes that it was broken for some time period and that actual chassis mileage is more like 140k. The car has about 500 miles on it since the restoration. The first two pages of the Bimmer Magazine article is shown below, and we have uploaded the entire article here. There is also the full results of the 2011 Palo Alto Concours here at Legacy Motorsport, including a photo of this car receiving its prize. Note that this car beat out a 2002 Turbo of Christopher Provo, whose BMWs we have featured before and who is renowned for super impressive restorations. It really says something that this car won the 1967-1976 class. The underside of the car looks equally impressive, and the restoration gallery show that the body was painted inside and out on a rolling dolly. The engine bay looks impressive, with the proper snorkel-less front bulkhead that differs from the carbureted cars. These black plastic intake runners were also correct for the 1972 model year only. We love well modified cars cars, but there is always something to be said for cars that look like they did when they rolled off the line. Check out the sellers Photobucket album and slide-show for many additional photos. Click here to email the seller directly if you are interested. Posted: 24 Nov 2012 05:33 AM PST Chrises Cars - 1969 TVR Vixen This 1969 TVR Vixen has undergone a recent restoration, though the interior remains unfinished. We have always liked the cleaner lines of these TVRs compared to the later M-series, and the “Pumpkin-Yellow” paint on this one actually seems to work on the TVR’s odd curves. Find it here on eBay in Hinesburg, Vermont.

No-Reserve Delta Wing: 1959 Buick Electra Hardtop Posted: 24 Nov 2012 05:32 AM PST Chrises Cars - No-Reserve Delta Wing: 1959 Buick Electra Hardtop This 1959 Buick Electra two-door hardtop is described as a numbers-matching survivor with almost all of its original paint as well as its original interior. These "Delta Wing" Buicks were GM’s response to Chrysler's "Forward Look" cars and are not often found in this condition. We like this dealer for his excellent photos and no reserve offerings. Find this one here on eBay in Salem, Oregon.
This car reportedly sat unused in a carport for 15-20 years before being bought by its second owners in the early 1980s. Those owners put 2,000 miles on the car and then parked it in a barn, where it sat for more than a decade before being acquired by a third owner this year who sold it to the seller. The mostly original paint — some spot repainting is noted — is said to be aged but presentable and the windshield needs replacing, but overall the car’s exterior looks clean for its age. The interior is said to be original to the car and the seller theorizes that the seats were covered in plastic at one point, which preserved the upholstery. The seats do show some staining, however, and the carpet is worn and should be replaced. The headliner is said to be like new. The odometer reads 38k miles and though the figure is undocumented, the seller believes it is the actual mileage. The steering wheel is free of cracks and the dashboard chrome appears to be in good shape. These cars featured full instrumentation and a "ribbon" style speedometer, which needs repairing on this car. Overall, the effect is very "Space Age." The seller didn't provide an engine photo, but the car’s 401 "Nailhead" V-8 rated at 325 horsepower is said to run well and to have good oil pressure. This car is just the way we like to find them: original, untouched and not in need of a full restoration. Given that this is a no-reserve auction, it will be interesting to see what this one sells for.

Seller Submission: 10k-Mile 1995 Porsche 993 Posted: 24 Nov 2012 05:32 AM PST Chrises Cars - Seller Submission: 10k-Mile 1995 Porsche 993 Says the seller: “This 1995 Porsche 993/911/Carrera is a time-warp gem. This car has never had any body work, comes properly maintained and ready for your driving pleasure. An honest example in a desirable color combination that runs as good as it looks.”
1995 Porsche 993
How long have you had the car? One year. I installed new tires, performed preventative maintenance and enjoyed it as a Sunday driver. Describe the body condition: The body is in beautiful, original condition with 2 minor flaws. 1) ~2 inch scratch above the right headlight 2) Paint chipping on engine deck lid; prior owner had a Techart wing fitted but didn’t apply enough gasket material between the wing and the deck lid. No bodywork/paint work of any type. Describe the mechanical condition: As expected for a one year old 10,000 mile vehicle. All preventative maintenance was performed after inactivity period: brake, clutch cylinder, engine, transaxle fluids replaced; installed new Michelin Super Sports. The brake pads are original and emit a slight squeak (although there is plenty of pad/rotor material left and performance is perfect). Included documentation: Manuals, service history, original title, current title, bill of sale. What makes this car special? Nice 993′s like this are getting rarer by the day. This is an honest example ready to drive or contribute to a collection. I can’t afford to keep this car as a trophy but know it will bring a lot of joy to the next owner. All maintenance done and ready to go!
Asking Price: $44,000 Reserve; $50,000 Buy it Now For more info: Click Here for the eBay listing. The post Seller Submission: 10k-Mile 1995 Porsche 993 appeared first on Chrises Cars - Bringing You The Latest Motoring News And More | ||||||||||||

Posted: 24 Nov 2012 05:22 AM PST Chrises Cars - 2013 Pagani Huayra Here’s the simple math: The Huayra weighs less than 3000 pounds (dry) and has 720 horsepower. Oh, and it also has more than 737 lb-ft of torque, courtesy of a new 60-degree, 6.0-liter twin-turbo V-12 developed expressly for the car by the engine wizards at AMG, replacing the 7.3-liter naturally aspirated AMG V-12 in the Zonda. The mid-mounted engine drives the rear wheels through a seven-speed, single clutch automated manual transmission built by Xtrac, the British company that makes trannys for F1 cars and Le Mans prototypes. There was some wrangling over the new engine’s configuration. Horacio Pagani didn’t like the idea of turbos, and didn’t like the naturally aspirated V-8 AMG first proposed as a replacement for the Zonda’s 7.3. He wanted a V-12, but AMG engineers were insistent that to meet emissions and fuel consumption standards through the next decade, the engine had to have forced induction. AMG clearly knew what it was talking about. At cruising speeds, the Huayra is one of the most fuel-efficient supercars in the business, says Pagani, brandishing figures fresh from the test lab showing it has achieved 21 mpg (U.S.) on the Euro highway cycle. 2013 Nissan Armada Prices and Specs Posted: 24 Nov 2012 05:01 AM PST Chrises Cars - 2013 Nissan Armada Prices and Specs Nissan revealed the pricing details for the 2013 Armada full-size SUV, and it starts from $40,710 for the base model. A fully-equipped Platinum Armada costs $56,180. So ti’s a pricey bit of kit, but is it any good? Well, it certainly doesn’t look like it costs between 40 to 60 grand. The Armada has a tough ladder chassis but comfortable double-wishbone suspension, so it should be good on and off the road. All 2013 Armadas are offered in a choice of 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive. Mercedes G55 AMG Copper Edition by AKA Posted: 24 Nov 2012 05:01 AM PST Chrises Cars - Mercedes G55 AMG Copper Edition by AKA AKA Euro Sport has come up with a rather special tuning package for the Mercedes G55 AMG. Called the Copper Edition because of its unique wrap, this G55 has been given a body kit to look, sort of, like the newer G63 AMG. The car gets new front and rear bumpers a modified hood, new side steps, matte gray grille and matte black details on the hood, mirrors and air vents. Another highlight of the exterior is the absolutely huge 23-inch Donz Montan wheels, finished in matte black.
Inside the cabin, besides the copper color leather and carbon fiber trims, the tuner has created a sort of mini bar in the back with an illuminated cup holder and an iPad-based entertainment system. The engine is apparently tuned as well, it’s kinda obscured by all the visual features.
